Now that your company has completed the project I think it appropriate to make a brief comment concerning the work that you recently did at my home in Waterford Township, Mi.Lary and Marilyn E.*
It was a very difficult job because of limited space between the homes located on either side of the lot. All material had to be delivered by hand since even the smallest machines could not negotiate the narrow passage. Part of the project entailed removal of old heavy concrete slabs that had to be broken up and carefully carted away manually. The new paver bricks were then brought in from the street to be fitted in place according to a design agreed upon. From the outset, I wondered if you could do it! But you did and the final product looks great. Both my wife and I are very satisfied and happy that we chose your firm to do the work.
I would be remiss if I did not compliment the crew of tenacious Hispanic workers who you hired. Physical strength was necessary but there was considerable experience and skill evident as they prepared the ground, took measurements and layed the paver bricks. They knew their trade well. This group of workers cared about the job and a certain amount of pride showed as they went about their business. This attitude was clear from the beginning until the final cleanup. Finally, it was refreshing to see a group of workers, arrive on time and work together with little supervision. Thank you for the professional work.

Rick was a great help with his computer program that helped me better visualize what the boulder retaining wall would look like. His suggestions for landscaping plants and assistance at the nursery were very helpful. Rick's idea of putting pavers on my front porch was the finishing touch. I can't say enough good things about Jonathan, your crew leader. His enthusiasm and willingness to answer any questions I had about all the stages of the job was refreshing. Recently, we had a patio installed using Lafarge pavers by Squeals Landscaping. The area was 475 SQ FT using the Romeanesque style in Northern Blend with five circular patterns. The overall job also included the removal of 225 SQ FT of a concrete patio and the installation of a row of dense yews along the driveway.Robert S.*
The reason for this letter is twofold:
(1) To tell how pleased we are with the overall appearance and quality of your pavers. The help from Marty in obtaining product information and suggested contacts for the installation. The quality and implementation of the project by Squeals — on time - on budget - and all in one day as promised. Also, the cooperation of David Biel in incorporating our requests in the design.
(2) What do you recommend for a method to keep the wet look? The colors of the pavers are much more vivid when wet. What type of product. method of application and how frequently applied. We like the minimum maintenance of the pavers however it may be difficult to have both. but still bold like your recommendations.
I want to thank you for the outstanding work that you've done for us on three projects starting with our prior house in 2007 and the patio, sidewalks and landscaping work you did there. You beautifully designed and constructed it and you stand behind your work ... when we needed repairs due manufacturer' issues with the pillar' stones five years after the install you worked with us and the manufacturer to quickly replace the defective stones. We sold our prior house in one day and the people who purchased it wrote a letter to us stating that the patio and landscaping were one of the major reasons for their purchase of the house.Carol and David G.*
For the reasons above, we choose you to install the seawall, hardscape and plantings at our new house. The level of your personal involvement on our new house, starting with guiding us thru the permit process and working with the West Bloomfield Township without our involvement to putting in a seawall so quickly in freezing weather a year ago are the "tip of the iceberg" on the level of service and support you provided to us.
Now that you're ready for the final phase of our project I want to thank you again for the overall design of the landscape, taking me and inviting my brother to come along with us to three nurseries to look at plantings and being openly flexible to make changes I'm requesting even though I might have cut back too far from your original design for the plantings. (I especially want to thank you for being personally involved with our builder and me on constructing a retaining wall with two hours' notice to help us pass "final grade" inspection and getting down on your hands a knees in the dirt with your team to quickly put in the wall)
Please use this letter with other prospective clients as you wish ... to them I write that unlike other companies that have done work for us and asked, you did not ask me to write this letter, it was strictly voluntary on my part and I wanted to do it as a small token to show my appreciation for the work you've done for us.
I've worked with many people and companies over the years and I can honestly say that you have provided by far the most personal involvement of any business owner and the very highest level of service we have ever received and I sincerely believe it's a mistake for anyone to select anyone other than you and your team at Squeals for their landscaping needs. Once the job was completed I inspected and was totally satisfied. However, David looked it over and wasn’t as easily pleased. He pointed out a very minor blemish to me that I was not at all concerned with. However, he insisted that it be repaired (at no additional expense to me).
